A new study reveals the many benefits that Taking Root is bringing to the Bootle community.

The organisation’s latest two-year report – Green Streets, Colourful Meadows and Fun Days – shows how it is helping to make local streets and urban spaces greener, and also raising awareness of the need for biodiversity in our communities.

At the same time the network is helping to improve the health and wellbeing of residents in local neighbourhoods, create cleaner and more beautiful community spaces and increase carbon capture which is helping to reduce air pollution.

Taking Root’s work has also helped to transform grotspots, which in turn helps to reduce litter and fly tipping.

Meanwhile the network’s workshops are delivering educational experiences to increase skills, while also connecting neighbourhoods and strategic partners to inspire new ways of working together in urban land management.
