Thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund’s Together for our Planet programme, we are expanding our Growing Circle project, adding 40 new households in the so-called ‘Poets Streets’ area of Bootle.
Following introduction sessions, the Taking Root team got busy delivering growing kits and compost caddies to our new members.
We can’t wait to see all the pictures of the fruit and vegetables they’ll be growing.

And we’re not the only ones who think this is a great project – we were made up to be shortlisted at the #echoenvironmentawards in the Healthy Living category.
