Report spotlights nature in Linacre – January 2026

Our community were at the heart of the Nature in Linacre research which investigated how people in Bootle’s Linacre Ward interact with nature, and the benefits natural spaces bring to people’s lives. Supported by the GroundsWell Consortium at the University of Liverpool, we are delighted with the impact report they produced, which you can read via the link or QR code below. Nature in Linacre reflects on history, maps the existing environmental landscape and includes interactive ArcGIS maps, providing an accessible way to explore how place, environment and health are connected.

This community research concludes with a collection of insights reflecting local people’s perspectives of existing natural capital in the area, and presents their ideas for what more can be done, meaning our community has shaped the plan for environmental improvements going forward.
