It was all about foraging and fruit gathering this month as we were invited along to Speke Hall on two occasions to collect apples and damsons that would otherwise be wasted. Taking Root volunteers picked as many as they could and these were brought back to Bootle and made available to be picked up at North Park Community Garden alongwith recipe cards for damson jam.
