Bootle in Bloom – it’s a hat trick! – November 2025

We are absolutely delighted to have achieved gold for Bootle in Bloom in the RHS North West in Bloom urban community category.
This is the third year in a row, making it a hat trick!

It’s all down to the hard work of volunteers all year round, and this is recognised by the RHS judges who are always impressed by how connected and committed our community are. A big shout-out to Ali from Gateway Collective who has co-ordinated Bootle in Bloom for six years, leading us from bronze in 2019 to two silver awards and then on to three golds in the last three years.

Something new has been added each year, from wildflower meadows to planters, and all the In Your Neighbourhood entries continue to add new and interesting features in their gardens, while the ‘Friday Tidy’ group look after the memorial garden at Ash Street and the street greening. This recognition by the RHS judges reflects these efforts and the environmental improvements being added to Bootle by the community.
It makes us proud – and rightly so!
