Backing Bootle in Bloom – July 2026

This year Bootle’s entry to the RHS North West in Bloom Urban Community category was led by Green Sefton. Although we took a year off from co-ordinating our town’s entry, Taking Root in Bootle volunteers still had lots to do, making sure the sites we look after were looking their best. 

Our friends at People First Merseyside now come along regularly to help out the Friday Tidy Team at Ash Street and the Shelley Street Community Garden, and loved being part of the awards. They told us: “We were really pleased to tell them how much we are enjoying our Climate Champions Project, and how much we love working with the different community groups and how proud we are of the different growing spaces”.
