Delicious apple gleaning – October 2026
We were back at Speke Hall in October, when we joined Alchemic Kitchen to celebrate all things apple.
Gleaning seasonal fruit, we collected the apples from the orchard and learned about the heritage varieties grown at Speke Hall, plus how to grow and prune your own apple trees.
Then tasting their deliciousness, there were demonstrations of milling and juice pressing and making heart-warming apple crumbles, which were shared with everyone on the day.
