We supported Kindfulness Coffee Club on Knowsley Road with the creation of pots and baskets to be distributed to local residents. Working with their women’s group that meets on a Monday more than 30 baskets were made to bring some colour to the local area. We also planted up their existing planters and placed them outside the shop to brighten up the high street. As we were working many local residents who were walking past stopped to thank us for bringing a touch of spring to the area.

Also in March the community gardeners of North and South Park met to plan their activities for the year. The conversations focused on developing the Stanley Road growing corridor and planning where and what they wanted to grow. After the meeting we were able to get in contact with Lidl head office which has given us permission to plant on the strip outside its shop on the corner of Stanley Road and Marsh Lane. None of this preparation and planning will be wasted with everything simply being postponed until after the current restrictions have been relaxed.
