We joined forces with the friends of Derby Park and the Canal and Rivers Trust to support them with making the improvements they want to see on their sites. In Derby Park we worked with the friends of Derby Park, Green Sefton and Natural Alternatives to prune and tidy after the winter. We focused on some of the main heritage points in the park in preparation for the ‘125 Years of Derby Park’ event planned for summer 2020.

Meanwhile, the Canal and Rivers Trust are planning to create their own community garden and green space alongside the canal by Tesco in Litherland. This is a lovely site where people can relax and watch the narrowboats sail by. Sam from CRT was grateful for our support and after the current restrictions have been lifted there will be more days there in the future.
