THE RULES
All funding applications must meet the following essential criteria:
- The project must take place in one of the following wards within Sefton:
- Linacre
- Derby
- Netherton and Orrell
- Litherland
- Church
- Manor
- St Oswalds
- Ford
- It must be for the benefit of the neighbourhood – an environmental project to improve where you live or a place you visit.
- If you are an organisation/community group the bank account must be in the name of the organisation.
- If you are an individual/group of friends you must have a guarantor witness signature.
- The project must meet all of these criteria.
- The project must comply with any relevant legislation including the Equality Act 2010 which covers eliminating unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation/advancing equality of opportunity/fostering good relations between groups of people.
Funding cannot be used for:
- Religious or party political activities (although faith groups are eligible to apply if the project is available for general community use and not restricted by affiliation to the faith group/organisation).
- Individual projects eg painting your own fence or obtaining hanging baskets for your property etc.
- Projects that do not meet the above criteria.
Funding conditions
If awarded a grant, organisations/individuals must agree that:
- Any necessary consents have been obtained prior to the commencement of the project (eg health and safety, public liability insurance).
- They acknowledge support from ACE in any promotional material.
- That the funding will be used wholly for the purpose for which it was given and within the timescales specified.
- That ACE is kept informed of any changes or delays which affect how the funding is used (approval for such changes may be required and this will not be unreasonably withheld).
- That a written progress report is provided. ACE may use your project report and any photographs for publicity purposes.
- Any funding granted to projects that are not progressed or any underspend will need to be returned to ACE.
